Prevent, address cyberbullying of student‐athletes

Cyberbullying on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, can involve sending abusive messages to someone directly, tagging an individual in a derogatory social media post, posting embarrassing photos, or sharing videos that include disparaging comments about the individual. No matter the platform or format, research has shown that cyberbullying can cause extreme harm to the targeted individual.
