A new high resolution 20“ graphics monitor is now available in OEM quantities from Moniterm Corporation, Eden Prairie, MN. With a horizontal frequency of 31 to 68 kHz, the raster scan monitor displays up to 1100 noninterlaced lines refreshed at 60 frames per second. Available in 15”, 17“, or 20” sizes, the graphics displays run at a pixel level of up to 100 MHz. For CAD/CAM, image processing, photocomposition, micrographics, and other applications requiring an exact representation of graphics information, the VR-1000 provides 100 lines per inch of resolution in both the vertical and horizontal dimensions with up to eight levels of intensity. A display of 1024 times 1024 is readily attained. At the pixel level the video has a rise/fall time of less than 5 nsec. Either the very fast white phosphors (P-4 type) or the very fast green phosphors (P-31 type) can be used at the 60 Hz frame rate.
