Introduction to Python Programming and Data Analytics

In this chapter, readers play two roles: In the Python Tutorial section , readers wear the programmer&s;s hat to study the fundamental techniques in Python programming. This section teaches how to set up a Python editor and GitHub repository with cloud resources, introduces the basic data types and data containers, and demonstrates how to accomplish complex computing tasks with flow control. This section also describes the basic program design techniques and demonstrates AI assistants&s; power in Python coding. In the Data Analytics section, readers wear the analyst&s;s hat to manipulate and visualize data with popular Python libraries. The JupyterLab has also been introduced to create analysis reports with live codes, visualizations, and narrative text. All the demo codes are provided on the textbook&s;s GitHub repository. Additional learning resources are also recommended in the reference section.
