K.J. Lin, Yonghua Zhang, Chunzhi Meng, Jianhao Chen · 2024

This study aims to improve the SM4 symmetric encryption algorithm to address its issues of insufficient randomness in ciphertext and regularity in permutation and replacement operations in specific scenarios. In order to enhance the randomness and security of data, we propose a novel hybrid encryption algorithm. On the basis of the SM4 algorithm, this algorithm introduces random number generation and XOR operation, uses chaotic mapping technology to generate random numbers, and significantly improves the encryption effect through iterative structure design and linear transformation. The experimental results show that the new algorithm not only improves the efficiency of encryption and decryption, but also enhances security while maintaining the same key length as the original algorithm. The results of this study have important application value for governments, enterprises, and individuals who require high security encryption technology.
