Un outil approprié pour la gestion des affichages dynamiques
Olivier Perrot · HAL (Le Centre pour la Communication Scientifique Directe) · 2017
To manage the dynamic displays of the entire CROUS network (the regional affiliates of the French national student service agency), the CROUS in Dijon, like one or two other CROUS at the time, chose almost four years ago to use the Xibo software solution in the wake of a local opportunity. It has since developed a good level of expertise in this product. Armed with this initial experience and the support of the national network, we have implemented this solution on the same infrastructure for all 28 CROUS and the CNOUS (the French national student service agency) in order to pool our efforts. To enable these 29 establishments to use a unique tool that is well suited to our needs, we have, in close collaboration with the Xibo core team, extended the technical and functional scope of this software so that it can be easily used by those who are not IT experts. The presentation will discuss the background to our choice, how we use it currently, the exchanges of information already made with our partners, the content issues that are rich and varied, and the developments that have been undertaken to make this tool even more suited to our needs.Details of these developments, which can now be used to some degree by everyone since they are redistributed to the free software community, will also be provided to allow the community to have at its disposal a management tool for dynamic displays that is flexible, powerful, scalable, well suited and inexpensive.
