Steganography is a technique used to hide data within an image or audio in order to maintain the secrecy of the message being communicated. There are several methods used in steganography to achieve this, but commonly, the data hiding is between the same stegoentity, such as an image with an image or audio with audio. One drawback of hiding data within the same entity is that once the security is compromised, one may be able to access the particular data. Therefore, this research proposes hiding audio within an image. The first step is to transform the audio into a hexadecimal value. Next, the hexadecimal value is hidden within the shortened uniform resource locators. The uniform resource locators are concatenated, shuffled, and converted into a quick response code. Finally, the quick response code is embedded into an image. The simulation results show the successful hiding of the audio message within the image, while maintaining the security and confidentiality of the hidden messages.
