Sets and Indexed Sets

We compare sets and indexed sets . In the latter case, “indexed set” simply means “surjective function”, but it is common to use this expression when we are thinking of a “set with repetitions” (that is, a collection of elements in which some of them might coincide). We show some basic unary operations among sets on one side and among indexed sets on the other side, developing the two cases in a parallel way.
