This study investigates the interplay between homophily and sentiment analysis in the context of Twitter discussions surrounding Indian political issues. With the growing influence of social media on shaping public opinion and political discourse, understanding how users interact within like-minded communities and the sentiment they express towards political topics is crucial. The phenomenon of homophily, wherein individuals tend to connect with others who share similar beliefs or characteristics, has profound implications for the formation of echo chambers and polarization on social media platforms like Twitter. Concurrently, sentiment analysis techniques offer insights into the prevailing attitudes, emotions, and opinions expressed in tweets related to Indian politics. By combining homophily analysis with sentiment analysis, this study aims to reveal the dynamics of online political discourse, identify patterns of interaction within ideological communities, and determine the emotional tone surrounding key political issues. Through an interdisciplinary approach, this research sheds light on how social media platforms facilitate the amplification of certain viewpoints, the polarization of public opinion, and the implications for democracy and civic engagement in the Indian context.
