Cryptography algorithms to prevent different security attacks

In every aspect of life, we are connected to the digital world in every field, including education, business, or banking. We communicate over the internet, which connects the whole world. The rise in the different forms of attacks on data or computer systems makes it essential to protect our data, ensuring the privacy and integrity of the information. Cryptography techniques and algorithms are used to secure data or information transmitted over communication channels. This chapter gives an overview of different attacks and methods to prevent them in cryptographic systems. We thoroughly discuss various types of attacks, including active and passive attacks, and how the cryptographic algorithms protect information and provide an overview of symmetric and asymmetric key cryptography algorithm, challenges to the public key cryptography algorithms, and how security is achieved the RSA algorithm.
