Investigating Human Perception Ability of Visual Variables on Tiled Wall-Sized Displays for Immersive Analytics
Dongyun Han · 2024
Immersive analytics indicates carrying out visual analytics in interactive virtual environments (IVEs). With the rapid advancement and commercial success of immersive technologies, researchers have been exploring their potential to enhance human understanding and sensemaking of data. Unlike the limited information space of 2D displays, IVEs allow users to utilize 3D immersive spaces, enabling the creation of multiple data visualizations. Despite the increasing awareness of its advantages, many challenges remain in effectively deploying immersive analytics across various applications. Effective use of data visualizations in IVEs requires a better understanding of how people perceive, interpret, and process visualized information. This paper discusses my research questions and presents research progress.
