The Internet of Things (IoT) is used to improve the safety and well-being of the elderly living in smart homes, as well as to assist those who care for them. The Internet of Things (IoT) sensors are utilized to record the elderly's everyday actions, which are then analyzed for any odd behavior. This inquiry focuses on the cerebral Researchers investigated the dependability and security of a home-based anomaly detection system, specifically for older individuals living in smart homes. This study evaluates and contrasts existing literature to identify potential security issues in all layers of an IoT device. In addition, this chapter presents a secure smart house model. The model was created to simulate an IoT network in a smart home scenario using Cisco Packet Tracer. As a result, it is recommended to use a variety of security measures to safeguard IoT devices from the detected threats.
