Although significant research has explored ChatGPT in recent years, relatively few studies have systematically analyzed and compared linguistic features between human-written and AI-generated language. This study seeks to examine how various linguistic components are represented in both types of texts, evaluating AI's ability to replicate human writing.Using human-authored essays as a reference, ChatGPT was prompted to produce essays of similar length. These texts were analyzed with Open Brain AI, an online computational tool, to measure phonological, morphological, syntactic, and lexical elements. While AI-generated texts often resemble human speech, the analysis revealed notable differences in linguistic features, including nouns, verbs, pronouns, direct objects, prepositional modifiers, and the use of complex words. These findings highlight the value of automated tools for efficient language assessment, reducing time and effort in data analysis, and the need for improved training techniques to enhance AI's ability to produce more human-like text.
