Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis Framework for Optimal Combination of Blockchain to Determine Scalability in IoT
Amit Chakraborty · 2024
The rapid growth of the Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming industries and daily life, but it also introduces significant scalability challenges. Blockchain technology, with its decentralized and secure nature, offers promising solutions to these challenges. This paper proposes a novel Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) framework designed to identify the optimal combination of blockchain technologies to enhance IoT scalability. The framework evaluates blockchain solutions based on criteria such as security, performance, cost, and interoperability. The result section clearly demonstrates the practical application of the framework, showcasing its effectiveness in selecting suitable blockchain technologies for scalable IoT deployments. The results highlight the potential of blockchain to significantly improve IoT scalability, providing valuable insights for researchers and practitioners. This paper contributes to the development of efficient, secure, and scalable IoT systems by offering a systematic approach to blockchain integration.
