With the evolution of Semantic Web architecture and advancements in Generative AI, the demand for a universally accepted ontology in cybersecurity has significantly increased. This paper reviews five notable ontological frameworks: STIX, STUCCO, UCO, CTIM, and WAVED. It evaluates their strengths and limitations, providing a comparative analysis. The study offers recommendations for developing an optimal ontology, aimed at enhancing interoperability, security, and automation in cybersecurity systems, thereby addressing current gaps and promoting a more cohesive cybersecurity landscape.
