Blockchain technology has sparked transformative changes across industries, offering secure ledgers for shared, tamper-proof transaction records. Its decentralization prevents data manipulation by requiring consensus from multiple participants. Applications span medicine, education, fintech, accounting, banking, and government, addressing issues like fraud, corruption, and identity theft. Introducing a new application, this chapter explores using blockchain for securely storing criminal records in police stations. This approach ensures long-term data preservation, reduces storage space, and maintains the integrity of critical evidence. By enabling secure collaboration between police and judiciary, it enhances evidence collection and strengthens governance, fostering a trustworthy law enforcement system.
