Module assembly and routing of cognitive diagnostic multistage adaptive test
Manqian Liao, Hong Jiao · 2024
This chapter introduces a procedure for assembling modules and administering cognitive diagnostic multistage testing (CD-MST), which strikes a balance between linear diagnostic tests and CD-computerized adaptive testing (CAT). It reduces the number of required modules, making the development of CD-MST more cost-efficient and feasible. Several module assembly methods and routing strategies were introduced and compared under simulated study conditions. The proposed methods were evaluated for classification accuracy, module exposure rate, and item pool usage.
