Quantum computing offers an unprecedented level of security for computing systems: the ability to detect intrusions and malicious activity without the need for traditional cryptographic techniques. In the area of cybersecurity, the introduction of quantum computing has both increased expectations and concerns. Due to their capacity to quickly solve difficult mathematical problems like factoring big numbers, quantum computers may pose a serious threat to traditional encryption techniques, which are the foundation of secure digital communication. The potential of quantum computing in the context of cybersecurity encryption is examined in this research. It explores the core ideas behind quantum computing, how it affects modern encryption methods, and the opportunities and difficulties it poses for the cybersecurity industry. This paper explores the potential of quantum computing for encryption in cybersecurity. Drawing from recent research in quantum cryptography, it outlines how current encryption methods are vulnerable to attack and analyses the benefits and challenges of leveraging quantum computing for secure communications. The paper culminates in a discussion of the implications of 97quantum computing for the future of cybersecurity and offers insight into the necessary steps to take in order to successfully incorporate quantum computing into cryptographic systems.
