A secure Identity Management (IdM) System has been developed using a variety of techniques in the past. The blockchain literature’s first comprehensive map of IdM is presented here. Because of its potential to revolutionize secure identity management in the electronics industry, blockchain technology has attracted a lot of attention. The effectiveness of blockchain for boosting the security and effectiveness of electronic device identity management is evaluated in this article. We look at the main characteristics of blockchain, its possible advantages, and the difficulties it can provide in the context of electronics. This paper offers important insights into the viability of using blockchain for secure electronic identity 28management through a thorough analysis. This article offers a comprehensive examination of IdM with a focus on how the development of blockchain has addressed the issues with IdM that have been noticed over time. A thorough review of the currently available literature has been conducted. Five databases were searched using the primary and secondary „search strings,” and analysis was completed after screening. The following can be accomplished by researchers using this paper: Learn about IdM research trends that use blockchain, understand IdM challenges, and assess whether blockchain may help with those challenges. 4) Be informed of blockchain-based IdM initiatives. 3) Examine and comprehend how different IdM frameworks will solve security, integrity, and privacy challenges.
