The advancements in embedded technology has led to a rapid surge in the Internet of Things devices. However, how to secure the increasingly number of IoT devices poses new challenges. Identifying IoT devices is a crucial step for implementing protection and control measures. ScanIoT presents a functional architecture that allows users to identify the type of IoT devices connected by monitoring the traffic generated by the devices. This paper presents the design and implementation details of the ScanIoT system.
