Your 3D Wake‐Up Call

As Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) become more prevalent, businesses must develop a strategy to integrate 3D content across various platforms, including virtual worlds, AR/VR experiences, and traditional 2D content such as e-commerce and games. While creating fully immersive content utilizes the full potential of AR and VR, adding 3D elements to existing 2D content can breathe new life into traditional media and be a great way to ease into immersive content for our business. Generative media solutions that enable users to create high-quality 2D images and video with the ease of a text prompt can be used to create textures for 3D assets in an AR scene, which can customize assets such as the clothing on an avatar or add 2D media such as photos and videos to objects in space. While Mixed Reality headsets continue to mature, we must keep an eye on the other eyewear opportunity emerging for consumers: smartglasses.
