Rate Optimization for Topology-Aware Locally Repairable Codes

Locally Repairable codes are used in the distributed storage system to minimize the I/O overhead. In this paper, we design topology-aware locally repairable codes based on the network topology of distributed storage system and provide the repair process. We also propose a hypergraph-based code construction and investigate the code rate of$(r,\phi,c,t){-}$topology-aware locally repairable codes.
