Conducting Investigative Actions Remotely

Introduction. The paper reflects the results of reviewing the monograph by A.B. Smushkin "The concept of remote criminology”, edited by V.B. Vekhova (Moscow, Yurlitinform Publ., 2024. 256 p.). Results. The monograph contains a detailed analysis of the legal regulation of foreign and domestic legislation on the use of video conferencing in the production of investigative actions, the tactics of their conduct and the psychological characteristics of the behavior of the investigator and the persons involved. Promising methods of producing verbal investigative actions, such as a web conference, computer-mediated reality, and holography, are described. The authors analyzed the possibilities of using unmanned aerial vehicles and other unmanned devices, remote sensing of the earth, during the inspection of the scene of the accident.
