This paper presents a novel real-time scheduling algorithm that integrates orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology and water-filling power allocation to optimize quality of service (QoS) and reduce operational costs in cognitive radio networks (CRNs). CRNs face challenges such as changing channel conditions, imperfect spectrum sensing, and primary user interference. The algorithm dynamically adapts to these conditions, efficiently utilizes spectrum resources, and minimizes costs for operators, all while preserving or enhancing QoS for users. Simulations validate the algorithm’s superior performance compared to sensing-only and leasing-only strategies, making it a valuable contribution to CRN research and deployment.
