Efficient Index Structures for Query Solutions on RDF Graphs

Koji Fujiwara, Ken Kaneiwa · 2024

It is becoming important to efficient query solutions on RDF graphs with the growing volume of RDF data on the Web. However, efficient query solutions often require index structures with large data sizes. In this paper, we propose index structures called a Failed-index for efficient query solutions. The Failed-index focuses on two specific triple patterns and stores resources combination of successful cases. A set of resources that can be assigned to variables from the Failed-index allows for early detection of failed resolutions. Our experiments show that the Failed-index can efficiently resolve some queries while reducing data size growth.
