An Analysis of Scalable Routing Protocols for Large-Scale Communications

Raja Praveen K N, Rakesh Kumar Yadav, Durgesh Wadhwa · 2024

This paper proposes an evaluation of scalable routing protocols for huge-scale communications. Especially, it focuses on the two most important training of scalable routing protocols: distance vector routing algorithms and link-nation routing algorithms. Via simulation, the paper examines the scalability of these protocols for a ramification of big-scale verbal exchange topologies, together with hierarchical, mesh, hub-and-spoke, and digital personal network architectures. It evaluates their overall performance metrics, which includes route price and stop-to-end development time. Additionally, the paper considers distinct routing optimization strategies, which include packet prioritization and vectorization, and those related to system studying algorithms. Lastly, it attracts conclusions on which protocol or combination of protocols would be a most suitable choice in extraordinary eventualities.
