Study on Key Technologies in Signaling Systems for Urban Rail Transit Interoperability

With steady growth of urban rail transit operational scale and gradual maturity of fully automatic train operation, an interoperable signaling system supporting region crossing and line crossing has become a trend to be emphasized in development of future urban rail transit and a focal point for future development of urban rail transit. A study is made herein of the key technologies relied on by design of interoperable signaling systems compared with traditional signaling systems, leading to a summary of technical design requirements of interoperable signaling systems and main principles of key technical design. In the study, design ideas and concepts are raised with respect to interoperable signaling systems and relevant thoughts provided on functional and interface design for implementation of interoperable signaling systems.
