Interactivity and Collaboration in the Context of Heterogeneous Modeling
Théo Giraudet · 2024
The present article outlines our ongoing efforts to enhance the interactivity between domain experts and their models, as well as to facilitate collaboration between experts utilizing the models. For that, we propose 1/ a new meta-language named Interactivity DSL, to describe interactive features such as semantic searching or model filtering to improve the interactivity during the modeling tasks; 2/ a collaborative platform inspired by software development tools like GitHub and GitLab. This platform can be specialized using a DSL to describe how the domain experts collaborate. This DSL can also be used to adapt external tools, such as the modeling workbenches, to the described collaboration. In this paper, we present our two main contributions as well as their current state. Finally, we present the research plan for future work and how we plan to evaluate the different contributions.
