A Trojan horse is a small computer program that is embedded in another program. A Trojan horse often bears the name of legitimate software. When the program is installed on a workstation or server, the results can play havoc for users. Trojan horses are often contained in downloaded software updates and patches. Trojan horses do not automatically replicate like worms, but they can be just as destructive.
