Measures to Shorten the Outage Time of Substation Comprehensive Maintenance

DC system is the “heart” of substation, which provides power for control, monitoring, protection and other functions of substation, and is an indispensable part of substation. If the DC system has a fault such as poor insulation to the ground, the control and protection device of the whole substation will have the risk of misoperation or even paralysis. Therefore, the real-time and accurate monitoring of the DC system is particularly important. This paper proposes a DC insulation monitoring device through the investigation of substation comprehensive maintenance status. Through understanding the function analysis of the DC insulation monitoring device, each module of the device is designed, and the DC insulation monitoring device is successfully developed. The device is relatively light in weight and integrates multi-functional components, which can meet the needs of more substation construction projects. The application of this device can shorten the comprehensive maintenance time of substation, reduce the operation risk of substation, and has great value of popularization and application.
