Reducing power consumption in FPGA-based FSMs

Modern digital systems should be power-efficient. They should consume as little power as possible [ 1 ]. This means that “power consumption becomes a primary concern in the design of integrated circuits” [ 2 ]. Two main issues have connected with this demand. The first of them, the less is power consumption, the longer is life of various mobile and autonomous devices. The second issue is connected with the growth of heat dissipation.
