As the automotive industry continues its inclining towards autonomous driving, the integration of advanced technologies becomes imperative to ensure the security and safety of connected vehicles. This paper explores the fusion of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) within Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) to fortify the cyber-physical landscape of modern vehicles. The convergence of IDS and MFA in ADAS presents a pioneering approach to address the escalating concerns of cybersecurity threats in connected vehicles. By deploying sophisticated intrusion detection mechanisms, the system can proactively identify and thwart potential cyber-attacks, safeguarding the integrity of critical vehicular systems. Furthermore, the incorporation of Multi-Factor Authentication adds an additional layer of defense, ensuring that only authorized users can access and control vehicle functionalities. This paper delves into the intricacies of implementing MFA in the context of ADAS, examining the potential challenges and proposing practical solutions to enhance user authentication protocols.
