Libraries are using blockchain technology, which is known for its robust security, to improve their services. This paper investigates how blockchain technology might improve accessibility, security, and efficiency in library operations. The decentralized ledger of blockchain technology safely logs and verifies transactions, safeguarding information and avoiding unwanted modifications. Smart contracts can be utilized by libraries to minimize human intervention and administrative errors by automating procedures like book lending and returns and managing fees. Blockchain integration addresses critical issues by keeping immutable records of transactions, thus enhancing data security and reducing the risk of cyberattacks. By storing all transactions in a ledger that is only accessible to authorized users, this transparency fosters confidence. Furthermore, blockchain simplifies resource sharing and lending between libraries by accurately tracking and verifying shared materials. This method enhances the management of digital content, ensuring secure access to books and resources.
