A. Umarani, A. Srinivasa Reddy, P. Sudhakar · 2024

Research on sentiment analysis is a recent development that has applications in numerous other domains. In the modern world, a vast amount of textual data is gathered online through reviews, comments, and surveys. Every piece of information gathered is used to enhance the goods and services that governments and private enterprises worldwide offer. This paper uses supervised machine learning and feature-based opinion mining to analyze the sentiment of movie reviews. The primary goal of this essay is to use nouns, verbs, and adjectives as opinion words to establish the polarity of reviews. Positive and negative reviews will be divided into two groups. The Natural Language Processing Toolkit is utilized for Part of Speech Tagging, while reviews from the Open Movie Database serve as the primary data set. This publication also includes some information regarding polarity-based data classification.
