Pairing Based Multisignature with Message Flexibility

Kodai Hayashida, Atsuko Miyaji · 2024

The use of digital signatures is widespread for authentication and data tamper detection purposes. Multisignature schemes extend digital signatures, allowing multiple signers to collectively produce a signature equivalent to a single signer in terms of signature length and identification. However, in multisignature schemes, the message needs to be fixed before signature generation, prohibiting modification of the message during the signing process. In this study, we propose a pairing-based multisignature scheme with message flexibility, augmenting the approach suggested by Boneh et al. with the functionality of message flexibility introduced by Mitomi et al., enabling message modification during signature generation without prefixing the message.
