Computer-Based Design of Active Second-Order Band-Pass Filters with a Single Voltage-Controlled Voltage Source and a Single-Loop Feedback Modeled by the Sallen–Key Architecture

The paper presents a methodology for the analysis and synthesis of active second-order band-pass filters with a single Voltage-Controlled Voltage Source (VCVS) and a single-loop feedback modeled by the Sallen-Key architecture. The methodology for the synthesis is implemented in MATLAB. The synthesized filters are investigated in MicroCAP and NI Multisim after choosing standard values of the resistances and capacitances. The material is used in the educational process in the Bachelor’ Course “Communication Circuits” at the University of Ruse “Angel Kanchev”.
