The world's biggest challenge is to provide a solution for impairment in hearing and listening. The mode of these two forms of communication is the primary need for any person. However, hearing and speaking-impaired people are facing more challenges than others in expressing their thoughts in front of society, whereas speech is the easiest way to communicate. In order to overcome the challenges associated with deaf dumb people, the proposed work demonstrates the hardware solution in terms of gesture-based text generation using Arduino Uno. These can be carried out with the help of a flex sensor equipped on the gloves to transmit and receive the information over the cloud after training the database system. The flex sensor is placed on all the fingers that will have different threshold levels to differentiate the sign language leading to the generation of text in a more efficient and accurate manner. Finally, the sensing data can be processed using Arduino Uno, and the text conversion can be transmitted at the display unit.
