A REVIEW : MOCK INTERVIEW SYSTEM USING AI

International Research Journal of Modernization in Engineering Technology and Science · 2024

Virtual interviews have become a preferred recruitment method, effectively addressing challenges related to time, budget, and geography. However, accurately assessing candidates' behavioural aspects during these interviews remains a significant hurdle. This research presents a machine-based approach designed to analyse nonverbal cues-such as emotions, eye movement, smiling, and head movements-to gain insights into interviewee behaviour and personality traits.By employing advanced deep learning and machine learning techniques, we systematically evaluate these nonverbal indicators to enhance the analysis further and improve predictive accuracy. Our study includes a comprehensive comparative analysis of candidates, examining differences between the interview and non-interview environments across various contexts and situations. The results highlight the potential of nonverbal behaviours as reliable indicators of personality traits, suggesting that these cues can improve the recruitment process by offering a more thorough understanding of candidates' interpersonal skills, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. This research significantly contributes to the understanding of nonverbal communication in virtual settings and offers practical implications for improving hiring decisions through innovative, technology-driven assessments that can help organizations make better choices in selecting the right talent for their teams.
