User documents in SDLC

Tony Myers, Jaime Buchanan · 2024

This is the second chapter of two on product documentation in the software development cycle. This one focuses on user documents, and the previous one focused on system documentation. The first part of this chapter explores documents that are written for end users, including instructions of various shapes and sizes. It then looks at some key language considerations for writing effective directions in IT contexts. The second part looks at documents that are written for system administrators, providing an overview of many of the common documents that sysadmin use in their day-to-day work.
