Tian-Jyun Tseng, Yung-Ming Li · 2024

With the widespread use of social media in contemporary society, its influence on individual behavior and mindset, including drug abuse behaviors, has become increasingly evident. This study proposes a novel mechanism for detecting drug abuse, integrating user behavior, language style, and social media data analysis to identify and predict individual instances of drug abuse. By analyzing language expressions and emotional change patterns of social media users, this research aims to provide early insights into potential drug abuse risks, thereby facilitating preventive and early intervention measures. The findings of this study offer a new perspective on how social media influences individuals' perceptions and behaviors regarding drug use, providing empirical support for developing prevention and intervention strategies.
