In our progressively digitized world, the design of applications is becoming increasingly persuasive and addictive. This trend is achieved by utilizing principles deeply rooted in social psychology and persuasion techniques, all aimed at enhancing user engagement. The foundational motivation of this research is rooted in curiosity and the desire to explore the mechanisms that make specific interfaces addictive and persuasive. Through a comprehensive exploration of case studies, with a specific focus on various digital platforms, this paper strives to illuminate the diverse methods employed in crafting interfaces that efficiently captivate and sustain users’ attention. By exploring real-world case studies of these platforms, this study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how emotions, persuasion, and psychological principles shape the landscape of addictive interfaces.
