A New Pedagogy Technique for Research-Based Application-Oriented Case Study Presentation

Shridhar Kedar, Himani Kadam · 2024

The students should participate fully in class activities. The increased student learning index contributes to the improvement of the technical education provided by the institutes and helps them stand out for final-year engineering students in various disciplines such as Mechanical, Electronics and Telecommunications, and Instrumentation and Control Engineering. The Mechanical Engineering department at MKSSS’s CCOEW offers an open optional course on renewable energy sources (RES). A presenting activity based on a research-based case study was carried out in groups of five students as part of the continuous evaluation (in semester T1 examination, 25 marks). The novel methodology for RES open electives for students without mechanical backgrounds is the topic of this presentation. This chapter discusses the course syllabus, the method of application of the technique, and the results of applications to active learning techniques. The active learning participation from students will provide a better understanding of the subject RES.
