The rapidly growing digitization has positively contributed to economic growth, social development, and increased environmental protection. At the same time, it has also made socio-technical systems and its associated ecosystems more susceptible to cyber-threats. The rapid increase of technological adoption raises the need to provide a secure and sustainable cyberspace for internet users. A key concern of today's technology driven economies is cybersecurity issues. It is essential to build cyber security ecosystem and resistance to cyber threats. It should also be emphasised that sustainability, data regulation, and cybersecurity will be key to the digital transformation in the years to come. Given this, it is important to have measures (regulatory, organisational, and legal) to curb cyberattacks. This chapter intends to examine the need, strategies to follow to fight against digital threats and future steps in the building sustainable cyber security ecosystem.
