WSN is an important part of IoT, which is usually deployed in unattended areas and faces many security threats, and authentication mechanisms are crucial. Current authentication mechanisms rely on trusted third parties, which can easily lead to a single point of failure, thus affecting the stability of system security. In this paper, a secure authentication mechanism for WSN nodes based on a hybrid license blockchain is proposed. Firstly, the WSN cluster network model is constructed, and the WSN nodes are classified according to the different types of tasks, and the nodes are divided into base station, cluster head nodes, and ordinary nodes. Then, a blockchain network is constructed between different types of nodes to form a hybrid network model to promote collaboration among nodes. Finally, based on the hybrid permission blockchain model, a secure authentication mechanism is designed by combining cryptography and certificate-less signature strategies to ensure node security and maintain system stability. Security analyses and performance comparisons show that the mechanism can effectively defend against common network security threats and attacks while offering significant advantages in terms of computation and storage overhead.
