In Indonesia, like in other countries, the presence of clean water is crucial for survival. PDAM, a clean water provider, currently employs a postpaid billing system with manual recording of water meters to manage water delivery. Nevertheless, this method gives rise to notable problems, such as non-revenue water (NRW). In response to this issue, a prepaid water meter (PWM) device is being developed, that utilizes token-based system that follows the standards issued by the IEC. The objective of this study is to assess the usability and functionality of the mobile application using SUS and SEQ metrics. This application enables users to buy water tokens through the Xendit payment gateway, simplifying the payment process. Testing result showed a significant enhancement in the ease of use of the applications, with a 16.17% rise in SEQ scores and a 20.70%rise in usability according to SUS scores for the improved version of the application. The results offer that the L-Connect application, which includes payment features, offers a practical solution by allowing users to easily and conveniently buy water tokens directly through the mobile app. Additionally, the study highlights how prototype methods can improve the usability and functionality of mobile applications for utility payment systems, specifically in the context of water supply management in Indonesia.
