Distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is a kind of critical threat for wireless edge network that flood networks with malicious traffic, which is difficult to defense due to the traffic fluctuation. To efficiently detect and countermeasure the DDoS attack, we propose a multi-level collaborative defense strategy that facilitates lightweight and cost-effective malicious traffic detection. The interaction between attacker and defender is modeled as a two-stage Stackelberg game and the optimal defense strategy is obtained with equilibrium analysis. We utilize the gradient descent method to iteratively compute the optimal strategies for both the attacker and the defender. Simulation results show that the proposed strategy can significantly enhance the utility of the defender, while reducing the utility of the attacker. In addition, when the attacker has access to a consider-able number of nodes, our approach demonstrably outperforms existing schemes.
