An Architectural Design of Network Scenario Cognitive Engine Based on Metacognitive Core

Lei Chen, Lifeng Wang, Dianxiong Liu · 2024

The cognitive engine is the core component that promotes the development of cognitive communication. However, current cognitive engines designed for a single decision algorithm, which makes it difficult to meet the needs of a variety of complex tasks. This paper modularly designs an architecture of network scenario cognitive engine based on metacognitive core. The specific concept, implementation technology and recommended method of each module in the architecture are described in detail. The architecture is able to perceive user requirements, and recognize network scenarios, including unknown scenarios, by extracting scenario features. The system takes the network scene as the core and uses the concept of metacognition to select the optimal decision algorithm for the current scene. Combined with cross-layer parameter information interaction, it intelligently optimizes the communication strategies and parameters of the physical layer, link layer, network layer, and higher layers.
