Designing an Intelligent Door Access System Utilizing Biometric NFC Bands and OTP Authentication Techniques

The paper presents the development of an advanced door access control system that ensures both security and convenience. This comprehensive system includes various components such as microcontroller, RFID technology, display, buzzer, and GSM module. The core functionality revolves around the use of RFID technology, where data from the NFC band, including biometric information, is sent to a central microcontroller for authentication. Once authentication is complete, the system activates the output mechanism and provides real-time feedback to the user using a display and provides confirmation with an audible buzzer. Additionally, the project enhances security by incorporating an OTP-based method that requires users to enter a one-time password that is sent to their registered mobile device. Additionally, the integration of the GSM module enables remote access control, allowing administrators to manage permissions remotely via SMS or mobile app. This project combines cutting-edge technologies to create a robust and versatile access control system suitable for a variety of security applications.
