In modern industry, information technologies and systems are widely used, whichhelp in tracking and managing technological parameters and processes in order to increase theefficiency and safety of production. Based on the unprecedented growth rate of the industry atpresent and the expansion trend, it is expected that a large number of such devices and systemswill be created in the future. This paper discusses the main theoretical characteristics of themost common data transfer protocols in M2M connections of the Internet of Things and theresults of practical experiments that allow us to evaluate these protocols in terms of suchparameters as the number of network resources, the size of one message, and the percentageof lost packets when working in unstable conditions.
