The Internet of Things (IoT) has reshaped the linking of consumers and devices or connectivity; nevertheless, it has severe security flaws. This study plunges into the burgeoning growth of the IoT, integrated system vulnerabilities, and rising cyber threats. It draws attention to potential risks, including privacy breaches and device vulnerability to cyberattacks, underscoring the security protocols’ critical role at each tier. This study seeks to enhance IoT security by detecting anomalies and establishing proactive defense mechanisms using machine learning (ML). The ML capability to detect regular behaviors in IoT environments highlights its vital function in strengthening IoT security against cyber threats.
