Demand response is a crucial technical approach in power systems, and leveraging demand response resources can significantly enhance the economic and environmental benefits of the power system. This paper first analyzes the demand response characteristics of aggregated resources across multiple temporal and spatial scales based on regional characteristics and market operation mechanisms. Then, a Distributed Scalable Adaptive Network (DSAN) based on feature similarity is proposed to evaluate the user demand response potential. Through parameter feature alignment analysis using local maximum mean discrepancy, aggregators’ response potential distribution characteristics across multiple temporal and spatial scales are investigated. Finally, the response capacity of load aggregators across multiple temporal scales is obtained by utilizing data from users who have participated in demand response programs. Case studies demonstrate that the proposed method effectively reduces the upfront workload and costs for load aggregators while improving the accuracy of demand response potential assessments.
